#1 - Prepare your storage space by placing a cotton sheet or wooden pallet on the floor.
#2 - Leave an Air Space between the walls and your goods to aid in ventilation.
#3 - Wipe surfaces of metal items such as bicycles and tools with an oily rag to prevent rusting.
#4 - Stand sofas and mattress on end on the pallet, cotton sheet or cardboard mat. Also use cotton covers to help protect them.
#5 - Wedge appliance doors open. Always clean your stove before storing. Save appliance cartons for packing bedding, towels and clothing.
#6 - Pack stereos, cameras and other high value items in unmarked boxes toward the rear of the storage space.
#7 - Leave a walkway in the center to the rear of the space. Place frequently used items near the door.

#12 - For Disches, Place a layer of packing paper inside the bottom and top of the cartons. Wrap plates and glasses individually. Stack plates on edge.
#13 - Holiday Ornaments are best packed in their original cartons. Pad the ornaments with packing paper or newspaper.
#14 - Cover all of your stored items with a light cotton sheet. In humid areas allow for ventilation.
#15 - You alone control access to your storage space, so never store perishables, explosives, flammable liquids or fuels. Never leave live animals in a storage unit.
